Support

Use this page for Kanatago app support, privacy questions, billing help, and account access problems. It is the app-specific support page we recommend using for store listings instead of the company homepage.

Email support

For general app help, email us and include enough detail for us to find the right account and issue.

Email [email protected]
  • Your Kanatago username or account email
  • Your device and platform
  • A short description of the issue
  • Screenshots if helpful

Account deletion

If you can still access the app, use the in-app delete option in Settings. If you cannot log in, use the public no-login deletion instructions.

The deletion page explains who can request deletion, what gets deleted, what may be retained, and the identity checks we use for manual requests.

Privacy and terms

Read the public privacy and terms page for app data handling, AI features, user rights, and platform terms.

Quick help

  • Check Health / motion permissions if steps are not updating.
  • Open the Health Connect step setup guide if you want Kanatago to read phone, watch, or connected app steps on Android.
  • Use the app account email when contacting support so we can verify ownership faster.
  • Cancel active subscriptions in Apple or Google if you plan to stop using paid features.
  • Use the in-app reporting tools to report specific memories, memory comments, profile photos, or user accounts for moderation review.

Health Connect step setup on Android

Kanatago recommends Health Connect as the default Android step source. On some newer Android phones, Health Connect can count steps from your phone directly. It can also merge steps from supported apps and wearables in one place.

How Kanatago uses Health Connect data

  • Kanatago requests access only so it can read step data for virtual route progress and related gameplay features.
  • If you allow background access, Kanatago may read step data while the app is not open so your progress can stay current.
  • If you allow access to past data, Kanatago may read eligible historical step data that Health Connect makes available so setup and sync repair can be more accurate.
  • Kanatago does not sell Health Connect data and does not use it for advertising.
  • You can revoke Health Connect access at any time in Android or Health Connect settings.

Set up Health Connect for Kanatago

  • Open Kanatago and choose Health Connect as your step source.
  • Allow the Health Connect permissions for steps when Android asks.
  • If Health Connect is not installed on Android 13 or lower, install or update it from Google Play first.
  • On Android 14 and higher, Health Connect may already be built into the phone settings.

Use your phone as the source

  • On some supported Android phones, Health Connect may expose a separate phone-only step feed after Kanatago or another app has step-read access.
  • Availability varies by phone model, Android version, and which step origins your device exposes through Health Connect.
  • If Kanatago does not detect a separate phone-only feed, it will recommend Health Connect for merged steps instead of showing a broken phone-only option.

Add other sources to Health Connect

  • Open Health Connect on your Android device.
  • Go to App permissions and connect the apps you want to share data with Health Connect.
  • Check the step permissions for each app and make sure step sync is turned on inside that app as well.
  • If multiple apps write steps, Health Connect can merge them and lets you control priority when there are conflicts.

Google Fit and Garmin

  • If Google Fit or Garmin Connect step data is available on your phone through Health Connect, Kanatago can read it when you use Health Connect as your source.
  • Availability can vary by app version, region, Android version, and each app's own Health Connect support.
  • If a connected app is not syncing, open that app first and look for its own Health Connect permissions or sync settings, then reopen Kanatago.

When to use Device instead

  • Choose Device only if Kanatago shows that phone-only mode is available on your Android device.
  • If Health Connect only exposes merged sources such as Google Fit, Garmin Connect, or other connected apps, Kanatago will mark Device as unavailable and recommend Health Connect instead.
  • Choose Health Connect if you want the simplest Android setup and the best chance of pulling steps from your phone, watches, and compatible apps in one place.
